Billy J. Stevens

Billy J. Stevens, a resident of Allen, Texas, passed away on June 14, 2024, at the age of 92.  Born on January 23, 1932, in Seminole, Oklahoma, he was the beloved son of Paul J. Stevens and Fay Zelma (Ivey) Stevens.  Billy grew up in Madill, Oklahoma, and graduated high school in Hobbs, New Mexico.

Billy proudly and bravely served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.  He met the love of his life, Alice Jean Dickerman. They were married on January 19. 1957, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Together, they lived a rich and fulfilling life raising their two sons, David and Michael.  Billy had a deep devotion to his faith and served as a deacon at Mountainside Church of Christ in Albuquerque, New Mexico for many years.  His commitment to God and community made a significant impact on those around him.  Billy was a dedicated professional in his career as an engineer at Mountain Bell for four decades

Billy thoroughly enjoyed simple pleasures of fishing, camping, and taking long walks with Alice outdoors.  He also had a passion for electronics. Most importantly, he cherished spending time with his family above all else.

Billy is survived by his beloved wife, Alice Jean Stevens; sons, David Stevens and wife, Audrey, of Allen, Texas, and Michael Stevens and wife, Carol, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Lauren Stevens Quary and husband Caleb, Whitney Stevens Perry and husband, Andrew, Logan Stevens and wife, Caroline, Shanae Stevens Holloman and husband, Garrett, Taylor Stevens and wife, Serena, and Landon Stevens; fourteen great grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Fay Stevens, and brother, Paul J. Stevens.

The graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas, 75211
