Billy “Jack” Green, age 81, of Blue Ridge, Texas passed away December 31, 2008. He was born September 28, 1927 in Bloomdale, Texas to Edward C. and Bessie E. (Farley) Green. On January 23, 1949 he married Caedna Westerman. Jack proudly served in the United States Army Air Cops. He grew up in Collin County and worked as a carpenter. Jack was a member of the I.O.O.F. and Verona Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Caedna Green of Blue Ridge, Texas; children, Kathy White of Murphysboro, Tennessee, Jackie Richardson of Mesquite, Texas, Johnny Green of Mesquite, Texas and Tommy Green of Blue Ridge, Texas; grandchildren, Teresa White, Tracy, James Adams and Eddie Green; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Othel Duncan, Jimmie Lois Price, Betty Lous Fisher and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Bessie Green; two brothers and two sisters. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2008, Thompson Cemetery in Lavon, Texas. Family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
