Billy K. Dunn passed away Monday August 26, 2019 at home. He was born in Searcy, Arkansas on January 14,1941, to William and Belle Dunn. Billy lived in Farmersville,Texas his whole life. He was well known in the community and was a friend to many.
Most all of his family and friends viewed him as "The smartest man they ever knew."
He was a truck driver for many years and a self taught mechanic, farmer and welder. In his latter years, he had his own business at his home and worked tirelessly on tractors, trailers and anything else that anyone needed him to repair. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Audelia, in a long and loving marriage of 53 years. He is survived by a son Scott and daughter- in- law Wendi and one grandson Tanner who lives in Greenville, Texas, one sister Joyce Phillips of Farmersville, Texas. He has many nieces and nephews that will miss him and loved him dearly, two nieces in which he raised Sally Robbins of Farmersville and Sheila Johnson of Sherman Tx. He was more than an uncle to them; he was a "Dad".
He is preceded in the death by his daughter Kim Dunn, two sisters Betty Dunn and Johnnie Banazak,two brothers Lynn Dunn and Frankie Dunn.
Visitation will be at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in the evening between 6pm to 8 pm.
Services will be at Trinity Baptist Church in Farmersville on Wednesday August 28, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. Rev. Rick Ballard will officiate. Interment will follow in I. O. O. F. Cemetery in Farmersville, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Johnson, James and Tyler NeSmith, Bennie Garcia, Carlos Garcia and Brandon Doan.
The family would like to thank Care Plus Hospice of McKinney for the great care they provided during the last days of his life. All staff was very kind and supportive.
