Billy Joe Carroll

Billy Joe Carroll, age 77 of Frisco, Texas went to be with his heavenly father on May 16, 2007 due to pneumonia and lung complications. He was born on July 8, 1929 on a farm 5 miles southwest of Frisco, to parents, Roy B. and Dovie(Hammock) Carroll. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Reba Cobb Carroll; daughter, Debbie Jo Carroll-Boyce; son, Danny Wayne Carroll and his wife, Kim all of Frisco; Joe had three loving grandchildren, Cory Wayne Carroll, Brittany Carroll Boyce and Kayley Carroll; brothers, Herschel Carroll of Joshua, Texas, Lloyd Carroll of Lewisville; sisters, Geraldine Carroll Barnes of Campbell, Texas and Imogene C. Brown of Georgia. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Virgle Carroll and Leonard Carroll. Joe has been an active member of Frisco since childhood. He graduated from Frisco High School in the class of 1947. Joe has also served on the Frisco City Council and has been of service for the City of Frisco Housing Authority for the past ten years. He was a masonry contractor and builder and was responsible for the building and remodeling of many beautiful homes in Frisco. Joe was a simple man that loved God and his family and was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren. He was honest, a man of few words, not afraid to give his opinion… always on time…and expected the best of his children. Joe enjoyed his “coffee buddies” who originated at “The Royal.” He was an original hometown boy who was a man of his word. Joe loved the Lord, gave his life to Jesus Christ his savior. He and his son devoted his time and labor of love to build the first bell tower in front of what was the original Sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Frisco. Family visitation will be held on from 6-8 PM on Friday, May 18, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Frisco. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Chuck Martin officiating. Internment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas at 2:00 PM.
