Mrs. Billie J. Lewis, age 79, of McKinney, Texas passed away May 20, 2010, in McKinney. She was born April 18, 1931, in West, Texas, to Everett and Mamie Ballenger, She married the love of her life, October 1, 1949 in Itasca, Texas. Mrs. Lewis retired from Fisher Controls in McKinney in 1993. She was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Anna, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Edward Lewis of McKinney, Texas; a son, Ronald Lewis of Melissa, Texas and wife, Charlotte, a daughter Judy Smith of Melissa, Texas and husband, Forrest; she was blessed with nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; A brother, Alfred Ballenger of Denison, Texas and a sister Linda Lang of McKinney, Texas; and a host of other loving family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her Mama and Daddy, sister Wanda Bradley, sister Ernestine Hammons, brother Edward Ballenger and great-grand daughter Kirsten Brooke Pixler. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 24, 2010, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Sunday, to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during visitation on Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday.
