Billie Kathryn (Loyd) Dyer, 87 of Whitewright passed away February 3, 2018 at Woodlands Place Nursing Home in Denison after a long battle with cancer.
Billie Kathryn was born on February 10, 1930 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to J.C. (Penny) and Iva Loyd. Billie Kathryn married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Billy Earl, in 1948, and for 69 years they were by each other’s side. Bill and Billie Kathryn moved to Whitewright in 1964 so Bill could manage the newly opened Monsanto Fertilizer plant. Billie Kathryn worked for Bill as the book keeper for the fertilizer plant, but more importantly she was a mother, and grandmother that dearly loved her family. She was always the happiest when she was caring and providing for her family.
In 1999, Bill and Billie Kathryn both retired, spending free time watching their grandchildren and great-grandchildren show cattle, play sports, and compete in rodeos. Billie Kathryn loved having her family all together and took pride in taking care of Bill and the kids. Billie Kathryn was an active member of the Kentuckytown Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, painting, and spoiling her grandchildren.
