Billy “Bill” Dean Stevenson passed away October 27, 2020 at the age of 81 in McKinney, Texas. He was born on December 12, 1938 to James Alexander Stevenson and Ruby Louise Acree in Brazil, Indiana. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Marines from 1958 to 1962 and in the United States Army from 1964 to 1984 He married Carroll Jane Burdon on December 26, 1958 in Brazil, Indiana. Bill was baptized in 1952 and was a lifetime member of Baptist faith and served as a deacon at First Baptist Church in Branch, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carroll Jane Stevenson of Princeton, Texas; sons, Bill Stevenson and wife, Linda of Calera, Oklahoma, Bryan Stevenson of Princeton, Texas; grandchildren, Andi Payne and husband, Brendon of Lucas, Texas, Amanda Valgren of Lucas, Texas and Collin Stevenson and wife, Mycah of Clarita, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Reed, Sydney Payne and Blaine Valgren; siblings, Don Stevenson and wife, Ethel of Brazil, Indiana, Doris Martin and husband, Don of Brazil, Indiana, Bob Stevenson and wife, Kay of Terre Haute, Indiana and Ron Stevenson and wife, Cheryl of Peoria, Illinois; sister-in-law, Susie Burdon of Princeton, Texas; niece, Marcie Heil of Tulsa, Oklahoma and numerous other nieces and nephews and loving relatives and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Brad Stevenson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
