Mrs. Beverly Jayne McLeod, age 88, formerly of Allen, Texas passed away May 22, 2008, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was born on August 29, 1919, in Maryanna, Arkansas to Royal Towers and Ermalie (Darnell) Durrum. On May 13, 1989, she married James Lee “Bill” McLeod in Lucas, Texas. She retired from the Denton State School as a receptionist. Mrs. McLeod was a member of the First Baptist Church in Allen, Texas. She is survived by her children, Timothy Towers King and wife, Kay of McKinney, Texas, Sandra Bennett and husband, Richard of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and William Hope King and wife, Pam of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Keith Kepper, Kellie Austin and Kenny Kepper all of Baton Rouge, Ashlee Lowe of McKinney and Hanna King of Austin; 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Janice Durrum of Denton, Texas. Mrs. McLeod was preceded in death by her first husband, Hughey King and her second husband, Bill McLeod; sister, Dorothea Harvey; and her parents.
