Beverly Darnell Cotham of Blue Ridge, Texas passed away on September 22, 2022 at the age of 71. She was born on March 15, 1951 to Henry and Joyce (McIntosh) Kennedy in Quitman, Mississippi. Beverly grew up in Quitman, Mississippi until age 13 when her family moved to McKinney, Texas where she graduated from McKinney High School in 1969. She was a homemaker and worked for the Internal Revenue Service for over 20 years and also had worked her own bookkeeping and accounting business. Beverly loved crocheting, cooking, working out, dancing, working in the yard and most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Bill Pope, Jr. and wife, Malorie of Greenville, Texas, Tammie Parkman and husband, Wayne of Denison, Texas, and Brandi Pope and boyfriend, Scott Mullins of Whitewright, Texas; grandchildren, Brittany Pope of Red Oak, Texas, Cortney Gurley and husband, Daniel of Farmersville, Texas, Stephanie Gibbs and husband, Travis of Denison, Texas, Matthew Pope of Denison, Texas, Lacey Bomsburger and husband, Dakota of Whitewright, Texas, Megan Smith of Sherman, Texas, Sheldon Parkman and wife, Bradi of Howe, Texas, Shelby Parkman of Denton, Texas, and Jeremy Sartor of Whitewright, Texas; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Doug Kennedy of Sanger, Texas and Joe Kennedy and wife, Cindi of Coppell, Texas; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, husband David and sister-in-law, Lisa Kennedy.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 26, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
