Beverly Ann Thomas

On February 24th, 2023, Beverly Ann Lane Thomas of Allen Texas went home to be with our Lord.  Beverly passed peacefully with her husband by her side.  Her parents were Curtis Lane and Martha Driver Lane, Beverly was born on November 14th, 1943, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She and Frank Thomas were childhood sweethearts who married June 23rd, 1961, and they had 3 boys, Clayton, Brett and Aaron. 

Beverly had many achievements and interests, she spent years researching and creating binders of ancestry information for both the Lane-Driver and Thomas Families. She spent a lot of time and travel gathering family history that included trips to libraries, cemeteries, computer searches, military records, birth and death records, marriages, and interviews.

Beverly bred and showed Pomeranians, she had a black Pomeranian named Jet with which she won several dog shows. 

She had a beautiful singing voice; she sang in the Allen Philharmonics Orchestra and Symphony Chorus starting with their first performance and continued on for many years.  She sang in many church choirs, played the piano, organ, and flute, as well as teaching children art in vacation bible school.

Beverly loved her family so much, she was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, also known as Granny.

She was an avid gardener, loved and grew red roses. 

She was a painter of beautiful oil canvas paintings.

She went on to write a cookbook that contained many original recipes. 

Beverly had a great career as a Logistics Management Specialist for the US Air Force B-1B Bomber development program at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Frank Thomas; three sons and their spouses, John Clayton and Rita Thomas, Brett Jason and Cathye Thomas, Aaron Grant and Cindy Thomas, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Martha Lane and her two brothers, Eddie and Tommy.

A graveside service will be held at Fitzhugh Cemetery behind Forest Grove Church in Lucas Texas on Saturday, March 4th, 2023, at 2:30 pm.
