Bettye Rich Sherman of Midlothian, Texas passed away July 7, 2022 at the age of 82. She was born on August 2, 1939 to Harry Coy Williams and Willie Lee (Jones) in Fannin County, Texas. Bettye grew up in Ivanhoe, Texas and Bonham, Texas. She married her first husband, Gilbert Raymond Rich in Dallas, Texas and they enjoyed 35 years of marriage before his passing. Bettye later married Harry Bruce Sherman on January 8, 1995 in Granbury, Texas and they enjoyed 20 years of marriage before his passing. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telecommunications for over 34 years. Bettye was of the Christian faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Bettye will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Denise Moree and husband, J.C. of Midlothian, Texas, Tonya Loving and husband, Tim of Midlothian, Texas, Lori Brian and husband, David of Frisco, Texas, and Gilbert Dewayne Rich and wife, Shannon of Irving, Texas; grandchildren, Amber Kramer and husband, Wes of Midlothian, Texas, Jordan Moree and wife, Brittany of Waxahachie, Texas, Kailey Webster and husband, James of Midlothian, Texas, Peyton Brian, Gracie Brian, and Benjamin Brian, all of Frisco, Texas; great-grandchildren, Logan Aldridge, Ryder Page, Rowan Kramer, and Jagger Moree; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Bettye was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; granddaughter, Summer Page; siblings, Frances Gentry, James Williams, and Retha Jobe.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 11, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
The family will receive family and friends during a visitation on Monday morning one hour prior to the funeral service.
