Betty Arnold James, formally of Princeton, passed away on June 29, 2022 at the age of 89 years old. Betty was born July 12, 1932 to Quincy Forgay Arnold and Olga Willie Walton Arnold in Richardson, Texas. She married Donald Albert James on December 13, 1947 and lived and raised four children in Richardson before relocating to Princeton, Texas in 1964.
After raising her children to school age, she began her career with Sears and completed it with Collin County Government at the age of 80. She loved her jobs, her life, family and music. She often sang and hummed to herself as she worked.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years and a daughter in law, Linda Ruth James. She is survived by her four children: Don Earl James and wife Christine, Vickie James Rutledge and husband Danny, Dan Chris James and wife Linda Aycock James, Dave Kyle James and wife Charlsie. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The interment will follow the funeral at Big Springs Cemetery (Jupiter Rd) in Richardson, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
