IN LOVING MEMORY

Betty N. Coker

Dec 22 1944 - Feb 14 2019

Betty N. Coker was born December 22, 1944 in Whitewright, Texas to the late Hoyt and Evorie Skipworth. She married the love of her life, Arthur Lee Coker on October 29, 1971 in Durant, Oklahoma and for 42 years they remained best friends and inseparable in their loving home in Pilot Grove, Texas. After having held on for her family, Betty was called home to be with our Heavenly Father and reunited with the love of her life on February 14, 2019 (what better day to be called home).

Betty was most known for her unconditional love for her Family, the love she showed to friend, and most of all her LOVE of Christ. She loved everyone she met and would make sure they knew she loved them before parting ways. Because of Betty and Art’s love for family and friends they made their “house” into a “HOME” for all that needed a place to call “home”. She was a stay at home Wife/Mother/Care Giver because they always said “kids need their mom at home for them”. Betty and Art took in and took care of his dad for several years, her sister who was bedridden with TB, Brother who was DX with cancer, nieces, nephews and numerous friends of their children. Betty did ALL this while continuing to be the greatest mother to their 4 children, greatest wife, and greatest housekeeper. For years Betty would also walk next door, no matter the weather, to take care of her Parents. She helped her baby brother raise his 2 girls. Their daughter was blessed in the hand they had in helping raise her three children and even had a hand in being blessed to help with one great granddaughter (who was born while her parents lived with this LOVING couple). There are numerous people that have been touched by this Angel with her help and generosity. Through all this, she never missed a beat at being there for her children’s school functions, games and everything else to help them become the adults she knew God would want.

Betty’s greatest love was the love she had for Our Heavenly Father but her entire life was spent making sure her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren knew she loved them with all her heart. She also spent her life teaching her family the love of God and making sure they were the best Christians she could help them become. There are too many to list of all the people this wonderful lady touched, loved and helped. She will definitely not be forgotten, because the love she showed all she met was bigger than the World itself.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Tina Ainsworth and husband Steve of Denison; son, Tim Brown of Denton; son Malachi Fagan of Pilot Grove; son John Coker and wife Tracey of Pilot Grove; 16 Grandchildren, Anthony Brown and wife Desiree of Sherman; Lacie Parks of Denison; Shayne Parks and fiancé Emiley Carrol of Denison; Tiffany Hubbard of Denton; River and Evorie Brown of Denton; Lana and Kara Coker of Sherman; Amber Carvotta and husband Michael of S.
