Mrs. Betty Jo McCollom, age 77, of Dallas, Texas passed away October 14, 2009, in Carrollton, Texas. She was born on August 21, 1932, in Addison, Texas to Hope Roseman and Ella Mae (Brady) Nance. She was a graduate of Addison High School. On November 21, 1951, she married Kenneth McCollom in Plano, Texas. Mrs. McCollom worked for George Rolan in McKinney for 5 years. For the past 8 years she worked for Now & Then Antiques in Plano, Texas. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Plano. Mrs. McCollom is survived by her son, Kenny McCollom and wife, Monette of Fairview, Texas; daughter, Debra McCollom of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Cody McCollom U.S. Army of Ft. Benning, Georgia, Jesse McCollom of Fairview; great grandchildren, Haley McCollom of Princeton, Texas, and Cole Wayne McCollom of Fairview; brothers, Carol Nance of Carrollton, Texas and Coleman Nance of Plano, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby in 2007; 1 sister and 4 brothers. A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2009 at Frankford Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
