To the family of Betty Ford Bishop. I was saddened to read of the passing of my classmate from Millsap. Betty and I started together in the first grade in Mrs. Robbins' class of 42 "eager" Post WWII babies. Twelve years later, we were proud graduates of Millsap ISD. Betty started as the smartest kid in class and finished at the same level as witnessed by her graduating as valedictorian. We started Weatherford College the next year but our lives soon took different directions. She met Billy Bishop and I transferred to TCU to finish the first of my three degrees. I know Betty was an asset and a valuable role model to all those she came in contact with. Remember the pleasant times and the fun times you enjoyed with Billy and Betty. May you receive comfort from remembering those times and may the entire family be blessed by the heritage she and Billy left for you. Jimmy McKenzie (Class of 1957), September 26, 2017 Bobby & Patty, Becky & Kevin, Kylie & Alex, and family - we are with you in spirit and know your mom/grandma is through suffering and at peace. Heaven is a better place with her presence. Our prayers are with you at this difficult time. Michael & Barbara Pazzaglini, September 21, 2017 I didn't have Betty as as a teacher but had Bill Bishop as Principal at F.H.S. They were both nice people & will be remembered through the year's. Deepest Sympathy to Bobby & Becky & Families. Cathy Feagin, September 20, 2017 She was a wonderful friend, that I admired very much. She was a blessing when she taught by son in Third Grade at Tatum. I could not have asked for a better educator to teach him and put up with his attitudes. She was so loving and caring, but she continued to challenge him, so that he didn't become bored. I am so grateful for her touch on our lives. Thank you Jesus, she doesn't have to suffer anymore and she is reunited with her beloved Bill. Sending love, hugs, and prayers to the family during this time. Blessings, Becky Shives Becky Shives, September 20, 2017 I have so many good memories of Mrs. Bishop. She was not only a former teacher to me but to my children, as well. She was my Girl Scout leader, helping Becky and I earn many, many badges. I made many trips to the library with Mrs. Bishop and Becky, helping me realize my love for reading. I remember spending the night at the Bishop's and have a very fond memory of delicious grilled cheese sandwiches. My sincere condolences to Becky, Bobby, and family. Cherye Walker , September 20, 2017
