Betty Jo Lupe, age 76, of Frisco, Texas, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017. She was born April 20, 1941, in Portsmouth, Ohio, and raised by the late Walter N. Brown and Marguerite (Peg) Brown.
She was a Wheelersburg High School graduate and attended The University of Ohio where she met her husband, the late John E. Lupe Jr. They married November 20, 1960. She will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit, sense of humor, loyalty, and her caring heart. She loved spending time with her family and was more commonly known as “Grammy”. One of her favorite pastimes was entertaining her grandchildren and their many friends. She loved helping others and was a great storyteller with the gift of gab.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Lupe Jr., and her son, Johnny Lupe.
Betty Jo is survived by her daughter, Teresa Voth and her husband, Brian, of Frisco, Texas; her grandchildren, Brady Lupe, Abby Lupe, Connor Voth, and Emily Voth; and her daughter-in-law, Kristi Raper Lupe of Frisco, Texas.
The family will receive friends during a visitation at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Frisco Chapel on Sunday, December 10, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A private funeral service is planned.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
