Betty Jo Botts, age 83, of McKinney, Texas, passed away January 12, 2018. Betty was born September 19, 1934, in Leland, Texas, to William Silas and Willard Bessie (Millican) Shaw. She grew up in McKinney where she attended school. Betty and her husband, in the Air Force, traveled extensively settling in California. Betty later returned to Texas in 1974 where she raised her family. Betty worked in retail distribution.
She is survived by her children, Dennis Botts and wife, Rebecca of Huntsville, Alabama, Denise Dobbs and husband, Joe, and Deana Grace and husband, William, all of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Nicole Edwards and husband, Brian of Maryland, Chase Dobbs and Blake Dobbs, both of McKinney, David Grace and wife, Ashley of Cypress, Texas, and Dylan Grace, also of McKinney; great-grandchildren, Tanner Edwards, Reese Edwards, and Phoebe Dobbs; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, A. W. Shaw, Kenneth Shaw, and Jerry Shaw, and sisters, Peggy Fuller and Linda Mae Goode.
