Mrs. Betty Freese Moore “Betty Boop”, 82, of Celina, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 17, 2022, in Prosper, Texas. She was born to parents Ruby (Perry) and Carl Stone in Celina on February 25, 1939, along with her sister Mary Ann (Stone) Tolleson and brother Dan Perry Stone.
Betty was a lifelong resident of Celina and Prosper. She worked for the FDIC, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., for 37 years and was a top notch administrative officer doing what she loved and retired in 1993.
Betty always put her family first. She loved each and every one unconditionally. Betty was blessed to have raised her one and only daughter, Penny Freese Chenault who married Kyle Chenault of McKinney. Betty was able to watch her grandchildren Casey, Chris and Courtney Chenault grow and mature to adults, having children of their own blessing Betty with great-grandchildren: E’Lexa Chenault, Chance Lott, Chacen Lott, Kyleigh Chenault and Chloe Lott.
Betty married Bill Moore in 1998 and gained three step-kids, five grandchildren and five more great-grandchildren that she loved dearly. She was a sweet, loving, caring, one of a kind wife, mother, aunt and nana who loved the Dallas Cowboys and her western shows.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Penny Freese Chenault of McKinney; her grandchildren, Casey Chenault of Allen, Christopher Chenault of Prosper, and Courtney Chenault of Celina; her great-grandchildren, E’Lexa Chenault, Chance Lott, Chacen Lott, Kyleigh Chenault and Chloe Lott; as well as many beloved extended family members.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Moore, her parents, brother Dan Stone and sister Mary Ann Tolleson.
A funeral service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow, 109 S. Oklahoma, Celina, Texas, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2022, with a visitation prior to the service beginning at 12:30 p.m. Interment follows at Old Celina Cemetery.
