Betty Ann Cleveland

Betty Ann Cleveland was born on August 5, 1939 to James Preston “J.P.” Williams and Leta Estelle Williams at Whitewright, Texas. She passed away on October 27, 2018 at McKinney, Texas at the age of 79.

Betty was born and raised on a farm in Whitewright. She graduated from Whitewright High School in 1957. Soon after graduating she moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She was a long time resident of Hurst and in 1963 began her 39 years at Bell Helicopter, where she retired in 2002. She later moved to McKinney to be near family.

Throughout her life, Betty was active in church and loved spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of Toastmasters International where she received many awards. She was devoted to her many friends from Bell Helicopter and enjoyed her walking group. She spent the last 8 years at Brookdale Senior Living in McKinney, TX where she enjoyed playing bingo, working jigsaw puzzles, listening to a variety of music from local talent and loved visiting with her senior friends on a daily basis.

She is survived by son, Michael Wayne Key and wife Renetta of Itasca; daughters, Donna Jean Lucas and husband John of Whitewright; Kristi Lynn Muse and husband Tom (Bud) of Frisco; brothers, James Williams and wife Sharon of Bonham, Johnny Mack Williams and wife Myra of Sherman, Charles (Chuck) Williams and wife Kay of Whitewright, David Williams of Arizona and brother in law Henry Bing of Randolph; sisters, Jean Sanderson and husband Travis of Garland, and Darlene Harris and husband Odis of Whitewright; grandchildren, Billie Jo Ulmer, Bobby Bartley and wife Amber, Brittany Lucas, Justin Key and wife Brittany, Jake Key and wife Kaitie, Madison, Mackenzie and Megan Muse, Christina McMillin and husband Jared, Cody Lucas and wife Catherine; 12 great-grandchildren; host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nettie Ann Williams (twin), Nancy Williams Bing, Brenda Williams Wright; and brother, Tim Williams.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church, Whitewright, Texas. Chaplain Randolph Chappell will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jake Key, Justin Key, Bobby Bartley, Cody Lucas, and Keith Williams. Honorary Pallbearer will be Charlie Williams. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery, Whitewright, Texas.

The family would like to thank the Staff at Brookdale Senior Living for the wonderful care and love they provided our dear sweet mother. We would also like to thank Brookdale Hospice.

Memorials may be made to Brookdale Senior Living, Brookdale Hospice, or Bethel Baptist Church.
