Beth Banerjee of McKinney, Texas, beloved wife, mother, and sister passed away unexpectedly due to a heart attack on December 2, 2022, at the young age of 58. She was born on July 30, 1964 to Deryl and Janet Newman. Beth married Sam Banerjee on October 22, 1994 in Cuero, Texas.
She is survived by her husband Sam Banerjee of McKinney, Texas; children, Nira Banerjee, Amon Banerjee, and Rowan Banerjee; brothers, Reed Newman and his wife, Sandy of San Antonio, Texas and Kent Newman and his wife, Sherri of Parker, Texas; and her 4 cats (Grayflower, Quentin, Theo and Jessie)
Beth is proceeded in death by her parents, Deryl and Janet Newman.
Beth was a talented artist who, amongst other things, recreated the lost plant sculptures on the walls of the Discovery Gardens in Fair Park, Dallas. But that achievement pales in comparison to how wonderful a mother she was to her children, and how much joy she brought to everyone that was lucky enough to know her through her kindness and gentleness. Her main concern at all times was helping others through their struggles, and providing support along the way. She always put her children first and provided a comfortable place to talk about whatever was on their mind, always putting their minds at ease, whether it be through talking about cats, sharing stories from her life, or her vast knowledge of music and art and film. Some of her favorites included the original Star Trek series, the Beatles and the Kingston Trio.
A Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday December 11, 2022, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
