Berry Dale Tarrant met our Heavenly Father and was welcomed into eternal peace on October 26, 2025. He was born on January 28, 1974, to Gary and Donna Tarrant in Mckinney, Texas. Berry grew up in Farmersville where he graduated from Farmersville High School and then went on to graduate from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
Berry married Dawn Atchley-Tarrant on May 28, 2005, and together they had their daughter, Audri, who was his pride and joy.
For more than 20 years Berry was proudly known as ‘the Manager at Discount Tire’. During his time at Discount Tire, Berry never met a stranger, took care of people, made many friends, and cherished his time with those he considered to be his family.
In his free time, Berry loved going fast no matter if it was speeding around on a motorcycle, playing in a boat, racing around in a car, or doing burnouts in a truck. When he was not hot-rodding around, Berry could not stand to be still, so he spent much of his time tinkering around the shop, building and fixing things, helping friends, or working on and ‘improving’ our vehicles. Most of all, Berry loved spending time with his family. He was a deeply loyal husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, and he will be greatly missed.
Berry is survived by his wife, Dawn Tarrant, and their daughter, Audri Tarrant; mother, Donna Tarrant (Watkins); sister, Rhonda Weston and her husband, Bart; sister-in-law, Cynthia Tarrant; nephews: Dustin Tarrant and Baylee Weston, as well as his extended family and friends.
Berry was preceded in death by his beloved father, Gary Tarrant; big brother and best friend, Derrick Tarrant; and grandparents.
A remembrance gathering will be held at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. The family will be hosting a celebration of life on Sunday, November 9, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at Market Affair in Farmersville. Both gatherings will be come-and-go events. The family kindly requests that any floral tributes be delivered to Hurst’s Fielder-Baker Funeral Home for the remembrance gathering on November 6th only.
