Bernice “Candy” (Marshall) Harper of McKinney, Texas passed away on June 9, 2018. She was born to James Oscar and Sudia Esther (Hayes) Marshall in Chambersville, Texas. Candy grew up in McKinney, Texas and graduated from McKinney High School. She married Maxey David Harper on December 5, 1963 in Durant, Oklahoma. She was a longtime associate at Tom Thumb.
Candy is survived by her brother, James Marshall and wife, Lonnie of McKinney, Texas; nieces, Anita Henzler of Fairview, Texas and Rendy Box of McKinney, Texas; nephews, J.P. Marshall of McKinney, Texas, Richard Fisher of Granbury, Texas and Michael Fisher of Waxahachie, Texas; and various other great-nieces, great-nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Harper; parents, James Oscar and Sudia Esther Marshall; brothers, Robert Marshall and Bill Marshall; and sisters, Louise Franklin and Freda Fisher.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday afternoon from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
