Bernadette “Bunny” Mary Schweizer, age 77, of Fairview, Texas, passed away at home on November 3, 2017.
She was born March 1, 1940 to Michael and Bernadette (Gaffney) McAleer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of West Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia.
On December 4, 1971, Bernadette married C. A. “Clem” Schweizer in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania. For the first twenty-five years of marriage, she and her family moved around the country following Clem’s career and they finally settled it Texas.
She was loving and devoted wife, mother and nana. She was a friend to many including her childhood friends that she remained in contact with throughout the years and over the miles.
She is survived by her husband, C. A. “Clem” Schweizer of Fairview, Texas; daughters, Kristen Schweizer, Karen Frayer (Russ) of Plano, Texas; and grandson, Quin Frayer.
Bernadette is preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Bernadette McAleer; and brother, Paul McAleer.
A Rosary service will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 1:30pm followed by Funeral service at 2:00pm, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 N. Greenville Avenue, Allen, Texas 75002. Inurnment will follow at the St. Jude Catholic Church Columbarium.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or VNA of Texas (The Visiting Nurses Association of Texas).
