Bennie Paul Owens, Sr. of Prosper, Texas passed away July 16, 2023 at the age of 84. He was born on April 8, 1939 to Howard Owens and Ann (Cunningham) Owens in Decatur, Texas. Bennie was a graduate of Celina High School. He worked for Texas Instruments for over 25 years. Bennie also worked as a salesman for Strasbaugh Semiconductors for several years. He married Nina Allen on December 20, 1984 in McKinney, Texas. Bennie enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved to give advice, fix and repair things. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Bennie will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Nina Owens of Prosper, Texas; son, Gregory Paul Owens of Carrollton, Texas; daughter, Gina Jones and husband Allen of Van Alstyne, Texas; son, Bennie Paul Owens, Jr. of Iowa; son, Joshua Paul Owens and wife, Cameron of Gateville, Texas; grandchildren, Jerrica Lynne Owens and Bricio Esparza; sister, Shirly McCormack of Emory, Texas; brother, Eddie Fipps of Arkansas; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Bennie was preceded in death by his father, Howard Owens; mother, Ann Fipps; and brother, Douglas Owens.
