Barry Robert Goukler, Sr., 79, passed away July 9, 2026, in McKinney, Texas. He was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on April 8, 1947, to his loving parents Joseph Thomas Goukler and Florence Alberta (Peterson) Goukler.
Barry grew up in Venice Park, New Jersey and graduated from Atlantic City High School and The Pennsylvania Institute of Technology. He met the love of his life, Patricia Cox, in high school and they were married on September 23, 1967. They welcomed their son, Barry Jr., in 1969. Barry proudly served on a mine sweeper in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he worked in the electronics industry in Silicon Valley, CA as a production manager, transitioning into international sales where he received multiple awards and accolades for his accomplishments. Above all, Barry was admired by his work associates and formed life-long friendships with his international clients. Barry loved traveling, camping, and skiing, and had a passion for golf.
Barry and Pat built a beautiful life together that spanned an amazing six decades. Hand in hand, they raised their son, spoiled their grandchildren, traveled the world, and served as a shining example for those close to them of a loving, committed marriage. While he was incredibly bright and strategic in many ways, everyone who knew him was most familiar with his keen sense of humor and penchant for mischief. One look at the glint in his eye told its own tale.
Barry is survived by his wife, Pat, of McKinney, TX; son & daughter-in-law, Barry Jr. and Cherie Goukler; granddaughters Lilith Quinn, Allison Goukler and Annaliese Goukler; sister Barbara Kieffer, and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly and will remember him with love.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Joseph T. Goukler, Jr., and his niece, Roseanne Goukler See.
