Lt. Colonel Barrington John Elliot, was born on Wednesday, March 14, 1962, in Miami, Florida to Barrington John Elliot, Sr. and Mary Hadju and grew up in San Diego, CA.

Barrington received his bachelor’s degree from OSU and his master’s degree from OTS. He enlisted in the United States Air Force directly out of high school and served many engagements including security forces and head of dog handling.  He was an extremely proud veteran for more than 30 years until his retirement in 2019.

Outside of his military service, Barrington had a very stellar career as a CPA with 4 of the largest accounting firms and private industries.

He was joined in matrimony to Jacqueline Denise Butler on Saturday, November 10, 2018.

Lt. Colonel Barrington leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Jacqueline Elliot; his mother Mary Sargent; his children:  Alexis Elliot, Daniel Elliot, Veronica Elliot and Dominic (Nicole) Washington; his sister: Tracy Elliot; his brothers:  Stewart Elliot (Anita), Ian Elliot, and Keith Moore; and granddaughter:  Grace Elizabeth Washington.

Barrington was preceded in death by his father Barrington Elliot Sr., his stepfather Clifford Sargent and his amazing sister Tyra Moore.

He will be greatly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and fellow soldiers (both 2 and 4 legged).

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033, on Friday, July 29, 2024, at 9:30 AM with a Funeral Service to follow beginning at 10:30 AM. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.  Interment will be held at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 750211, on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 10:00 am.
