Barbara Ann Noble of McKinney, Texas passed away on February 23, 2020 at the age of 82. She was born on February 1, 1938, in Paige, Texas and later the family moved to her hometown of Dimmitt, Texas. Barbara was a drummer in the Dimmitt Bobcat Band and later married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Noble, on September 1, 1958. They lived in Lubbock, Texas from 1958-2011 and moved to Plano, Texas in 2011. Barbara was a licensed beautician as well as a Tupperware Distributor for many years. She was a long time member of Oakwood United Methodist Church in Lubbock.
Barbara had a strong faith in God, a deep love for her family, and made lasting friendships wherever she lived. She was a lifelong Texas Tech fan and supported her Red Raiders at every opportunity. She enjoyed life, loved to tell a good joke, and was known for early morning birthday calls to sing to family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Roger Noble and wife, Debby of Mesquite, Texas; Rodney Noble and wife, Lisa of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon Noble and wife, Nicole of Ennis, Texas; Zachary Noble and fiancée, Taylor of Fate, Texas; Cassie Thompson and husband, Jared of Flower Mound, Texas; Caitlin Cotter and husband, Alex of McKinney, Texas; great-grandchildren Conrad Noble, Cooper and Parker Thompson, Spencer Cotter; brother, James Rogers and wife, Brenda of Carrollton, Texas; sister, Hazel Green of Dublin, California; numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Noble; parents, Robert and Vivian Rogers; brother, Clarence Rogers; sister, Juanelle Thornborrow.
A remembrance gathering will be held Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
The family has asked that donations be directed in honor of Barbara Noble to Meals on Wheels Collin County, 600 N. Tennessee Street, McKinney, Texas, 75069.
