Barbara Rita Falcon of Allen, Texas passed away September 29, 2018 at the age of 78. She was born December 11, 1939 to J.J. and Barbara Capistran in Refugio, Texas. Barbara grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated from W.B. Ray High School in 1958. She married Ernest W. Falcon on September 24, 1965 in Corpus Christi. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. She was a longtime member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. Barbara and Ernest celebrated their fifty-third anniversary this past September and set a sterling example for love, respect, support, and humor in marriage. Barbara was tremendously proud of her four children – their education and accomplishments along with their strong bonds to each other. She loved to travel across the U.S. with Ernest and visit with their kids and grandchildren. Through powerful determination and a strong faith in God, Barbara was able to face a multitude of medical challenges in recent years. Her friends and family were always amazed at her strength, spirit and courage.
Barbara is survived by her husband Ernest Falcon of Allen, Texas; children, Kenneth Falcon and husband, Todd of Los Angeles, California, Judy Stubbington and husband, Darrin of Walnut Creek, California, Michael Falcon and wife, Jeannie of Austin, Texas and Jason Falcon and wife, France of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Katie, Anna, Cooper and Abby; sister, Delphie Benavides; and brother, Eddie Capistran.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 19, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 20, 2018 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas.
