Barbara Kay Allgood, 66, of Greenville, was promoted to her heavenly home on March 14, 2019. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Born October 15, 1952 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and passed away at her home in Greenville, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Larry Allgood of Greenville; son, Christopher Allgood and wife, Melissa of Conroe; daughter, Alecia Fogleman and husband, Adam of Durban, South Africa; mother, Virginia White; sister, Carolyn Goins; brother, David White, Jr., grandchildren, Drew and Elise Allgood; Sydney and Emma Fogleman.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Whitney Nicole Allgood; father, David White Sr.; and father and mother-in-law, Rev. and Mrs. Leonard Allgood.
Barbara was a Lady with extraordinary voice and an amazing praise and worship leader. She was involved in Women’s Prison Ministry for many years bringing hope to the hopeless. A special lady who will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Visitation will be Friday, March 15, 2019 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville, Texas from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
A visitation will be Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas from 6:00 pm until 8:00 p.m.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 17, 2019 at The Mausoleum in Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas with Dr. Adonna Otwell and Rev. Phillip Freeman officiating.
