Barbara was born June 13, 1952 in Grundy, Virginia to Jesse and Eunice Bowman. She had three brothers and four sisters. Barbara married Harry Prindle, the love of her life, on August 18, 1969. Barbara and Harry started their family in Michigan and then relocated to Denison and finally Whitewright in the early 80’s. She passed away at her home in Tom Bean, Texas on March 12, 2021.
Barbara had the heart of an angel and spent her life helping others. Her door was always open and she shared whatever she had to give. She helped her relatives and friends alike with a place to stay in times of need or any kindness she could offer. She was affectionately known as Nana not only to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, but also to the many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and any kid that spent more than a minute with her.
One big comfort the family has now is knowing that Barbara has reunited with those dear to her that have passed before; particularly with Harry, who died far too early and their beloved daughter Teresa, who was tragically taken away in a motor vehicle accident at the age of 18 in 1989.
Barbara is survived by daughter Margaret (Becky) and her husband Bruce, son Eric and his wife Christy, grandchildren and step-grandchildren Lauren and husband Chris, Kaelin and husband Tanner, Elizabeth, Teresa and husband Tristan, Sarah, Justin, and Hailey and great grandchildren Maddox, Benson, Olivia, Lily, Ellasyn and Faye. She is also survived by her siblings James, Ralph, Lurlia and Mildred.
Memorial Services will be held at 11AM Monday, April 12, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow in Whitewright. Inurnment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Whitewright, Texas.
