Barbara Ann Beggs Wright of Saginaw, Texas, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at The Lodge in Saginaw, Texas. Barbara was a member of Saginaw Church of Christ. 

Barbara was born February 20, 1938, in Irving, Texas, to Minnie Lorene White Beggs and Phillip Beggs, the second of 8 children. She and her siblings grew up in Tipton's Home for Children in Oklahoma. She graduated from Tipton High School in Duncan, Oklahoma. After graduating from high school, Barbara moved to Dallas where she met Elbert Winford Wright. They were married on August 15, 1958, in Dallas, Texas.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Winford Wright; and six of her seven siblings, Phillip Beggs, Jr., Joe Edward Beggs, Richard Beggs, Michael Beggs, James Harris Beggs, and Patsy Sue Bustamante.  The status of her brother, Donald Beggs is unknown.

Barbara is survived by her sister-in-law, friend, and caregiver, Glynda Davis and husband, Ken of Haslet, Texas; nieces and caregivers, Tracey Davis of Little Elm, Texas and Carrie Thompson and husband, Gary of Prosper, Texas; sister-in-law, Erma Herron and husband, Ernie of Santo, Texas; sister-in-law, Melba Sasso; and numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as many loving friends.

The family wants to thank the staff of The Lodge in Saginaw for their concern, kindness, and loving care of Barbara during her time there.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas with Danny Brey officiating with burial to follow at Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Lowry Crossing. Serving as pallbearers will be Ken Davis, Kaden Davis, Scott Davis, Malcom Cave, Larry Wright, and Brady Thompson.
