Barbara Ann Richardson Schaff, age 86, of Frisco, Texas passed away on July 3, 2024. She was born on June 15, 1938, to Ada Lee (Hays) and V.C. Richardson in Lockney, Texas and raised in Littlefield and Dalhart, Texas.
Barbara, referred to as “Moppie” by her family, was known for her ability to make everyone she met feel they were the most important person in the room. Moppie had a wicked sense of humor and wit, twice doing Twitter videos impromptu for her granddaughters that drew over 1 million viewers each, making her an overnight viral sensation at the age of age 84. Moppie was a very talented artist & musician, her water-color paintings are nothing short of spectacular. Her kind words, thoughtful acts and sense of humor will be missed by all of those who have been blessed to know her. Barbara is survived by her son, Scott Martin and his wife, Bobbie ; her daughter, Stacy Jeans and her husband, Jeff; her son, Howard Schaff and his wife, Rhonda; her nine grandchildren, Morgan Mitchell and her husband, Jared, Trey Martin and his wife, Morgan, Matt Schaff and his wife, Abbey, Jordan Nettleship and her husband, Ryan, Bradley Schaff and his wife, Marta, Madison Baker and her husband, Aaron, Hayden Schaff and his wife, Megan, Sissy Morris and her husband, Ian, Peyton Pearson and her husband, Chris; her six great-grandchildren, Ryder Nettleship, Shepard Schaff, Wylie Schaff, Sutton Nettleship, Casey Martin, and Poppy Pearson who is currently on the way; her sister, Donna Hall; her brother, Jim Richardson and her son-in-law, Michael Urtso.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Morty Schaff; her parents, V.C. and Ada Richardson; her sisters, Jacquita Joy Johnson and Paula Kay Hays.
