Dr. Ashley Anne Britton Glover, 44, of Little Elm, TX, passed away on August 9, 2023, comforted by family and friends. Ashley was born February 20, 1979, in Dallas, TX to father Ernest David Britton III and mother Eugenia Franks Britton.
After graduating from Little Elm High School, Ashley started her higher education on a cheerleading scholarship at Jacksonville Baptist College in Jacksonville, Texas where she completed her associate degree. She transferred to the University of North Texas in Denton to complete her bachelor’s degree in education. Ashley earned her master’s degree at Texas Women’s University in Denton and then went on to achieve one of her dreams by completing her Ph.D. at Dallas Baptist University.
Dr. Glover started her teaching career at Dallas ISD and then began her life-long educator and administrator career with Little Elm Independent School District in 2002 celebrating her 20-year anniversary in 2022.
Ashley is survived by her husband of 21 years, Leonard Allen “Turkey” Glover. She is survived by their three children, Avery Ann Glover, age 20, Abigail Lindsey Glover, age 14, and Austin Elizabeth Glover, age 10. She is survived by her parents, her brother Richard Britton and family, and her sister Courtney Moore and family.
Ashley was proceeded in death by her mother-in-law Beverly Glover and her father-in-law Leonard Glover.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023, at CrossRidge Church, 1701 Walker Lane, Little Elm, Texas, beginning at 2:00 PM. Reception to follow in the fellowship hall.
