Arthur George Boudoucies, 87 of McKinney, Texas died Sunday, February 20, 2022, at his home. He considered both Forest City, North Carolina and Jonesboro, Arkansas home until his final years when he moved to Texas to be with his family.

Arthur, better known as Papou by grandkids or Art to those closest to him, was born in Greenville, South Carolina, to George and Flora Boudoucies of Tarpon Springs, Florida. He graduated from Clemson University, served as an officer in the Army Reserves, and was employed by American Greetings Corporation for a large portion of his life. He ended his career as the Vice President of a subsidiary, Acme Frame, in Harrisburg, Arkansas. 

Up until his passing, Art was an active member of Stonebriar Community Church of Frisco, Texas. He had a strong Christian faith and served in various leadership positions in church and in the Gideons International organization. He loved speaking in church settings to raise awareness of the Gideon ministry, which is an Evangelical Christian association devoted to the distribution of God’s Word, the Bible. He also had many talents including woodworking, painting, and crafting that touched so many of his family and friends.

Art was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Nellie; brothers, Ignas and John Boudoucies; and sister, Rose Marie Kanos. He was a loving father and grandfather and is survived by his daughters Barbara White (husband Keith), Julie Hampton (husband John) and Lisa Turner (husband Kevin), along with his 6 grandchildren: Brandon White (wife Julie), Joshua Hampton (wife Sarah), Rebekah Bostwick (husband Blake), Kathryn Waldo (husband Bo), Nathan Turner (wife Melissa) and Anna Turner. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren: Emerson White, Audrey White, Declan Waldo, Jack White, Edison Waldo, and Brooks Bostwick. Furthermore, he’s survived by two loving sisters: Anna Gossett and Georgia Beardslee, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 North Central Expressway, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Art’s obituary page by clicking on the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/arthur-george-boudoucies.
