Arthur Linton Geren, age 93, of McKinney, Texas, passed away August 7, 2011, in Farmersville, Texas. Arthur was born February 5, 1918, in Collin County, Texas, to Arthur J. and Rossea L. (Jackson) Geren. He married Pauline Bryant McMorris and later married Frances Rutledge. Arthur grew up in Collin County where he attended schools. He worked for Plano Implement for over thirty years as a mechanic until his retirement. Arthur’s hobbies included fishing and camping. He is survived by his daughters, Marie Crawford of Anna, Texas and Janie Donihoo and husband, Ronnie of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Julie Chambers, Chris Crawford, Jenny Atkins, Brandon Crawford, and Keisha Horn; thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Orville Geren of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Jack Geren of Rheas Mill, Texas; and sister, Bettie Geren of Farmersville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, and brothers, Ross Geren, Perry Geren, and Marvin Geren. A Remembrance Gathering will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, August 11, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
