Arthur William Walsh passed away on September 17, 2023, in Dallas, Texas at the age of 78. He was born on June 14, 1945, in Lakewood, Ohio.
He married Debby Hodges on January 17, 1987, in Abilene, Texas.
Art graduated from Westlake High School in Westlake, Ohio, where he played both football and baseball and was courted by the major leagues. He received a full scholarship to Northwestern University where he played quarterback. Following his time at Northwestern, he went on to attend and graduate from The Ohio State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. Art was veteran of The United States Army and served during the Vietnam War, where he received the Bronze Star. He worked for Mobil Oil for 25 years and held the position of Controller for the gas pipeline division.
Art is survived by his son, Ryan Walsh of Vero Beach, Florida; daughter, Robyn Lynn Langlie (Mark) of Anchorage Alaska; grandchildren, Samantha Langlie and Porter Langlie; brother, Jay Walsh (Kathy) of The Villages, Florida; stepsister, Tricia Ennis of Pinehurst, North Carolina; stepsister, Pamela Thomas of Winter Park, Florida; and several nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne Walsh, and his wife, Debby Walsh.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2023, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
