IN LOVING MEMORY

Arlene Ann Cramer

Jun 03 1971 - Aug 13 2018

Arlene Ann Cramer, 47, of McKinney, Texas passed away on August 13, 2018 with her loving and devoted family by her side.  She was born on June 3, 1971 in Schenectady, New York.  Arlene spent most of her early years in New York but was blessed to spend time with another family in California giving her families from east to west!  She was a graduate of Gloversville High School and Siena College in Loudonville, New York.  Arlene started her career working at Teresian House and Hallmark but, then decided to start her own daycare business to raise her children, her niece, Kristin, and many other children that she loved dearly.  She then went to work for Gymboree and when her family decided to move to Texas she transferred her position there.  Her final employment for over a decade was with the Social Security Administration as a disability claims specialist.  It is no surprise that all of her employments were helping others, this was just who she was both inside and out. Arlene was a stranger only to those she hadn’t met yet.

Arlene’s dream was to have her own family which was made complete by her two children, Kaitlyn Cramer and Michael Cramer and their father, Christopher Cramer.  Her additional hometown McKinney, Texas family includes her sister and dear friend, Jessica Porter, and many close friends and colleagues. Her New York family includes her sisters, Cindy Krueger-Farley and her husband, Brian and Janice Hine (Craig Hough); brothers, Christopher Krueger and Robert Bishop; nieces, Kristin Farley, Jill Hine and Chelsea Cramer; nephews, Mark Hine, Joshua, Zachary and Jacob Cramer; brother-in-law, Geoff Cramer and wife, Donna; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  Her California family includes dad, Edward Sweeney and wife, Lori; grandmother, Nana and siblings Ryan Sweeney, Jason Sweeney, Lydia Sweeney and their families.

Arlene was predeceased by three moms, Gail Porter, Carole Bishop (who raised her and nicknamed her Peachy) and Christy Sweeney, her maternal grandparents, Anna and David Mayville, in laws Jaylene and John Cramer, grandfather Caminiti and her brother in law, Gerry Hine.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.

As Arlene lived: “If there ever comes a day where we can’t be together, keep me in your heart.  I’ll stay there forever.”  Those wishing to remember Arlene through a donation may consider St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis Tennessee 38105 or a charity of choice.
