April Lee Crafton, 69, of McKinney, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024. She was born on May 24, 1955, in Glasgow, Kentucky, to Lee and Norma Franklin.

April had a remarkable career in grocery retail, dedicating over 40 years to serving her community. Her work ethic, kindness, and dedication made her a beloved figure among her coworkers and customers alike.

Outside of work, April was known for her incredible creativity and warmth. She had a passion for making home crafts, creating beautiful, heartfelt gifts that she shared with friends and loved ones. April’s creations were a testament to her love and thoughtfulness.

Her family was her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them. April’s nurturing spirit, generosity, and infectious smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

She is survived by her sister, Terry (Tessie) Franklin of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Kristina Haeussler and husband, Doug of Lucas, Texas; son, Mitchel Crafton of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Kathryn, Avery, and Loren Haeussler of Lucas, Texas; Tristan, Layla, and Channing Crafton of McKinney, Texas; sister-in-law, Luvon Crafton of Atlanta, Georgia.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Norma Franklin; grandparents, Herbert and Nobadell Newland and Polly Rigsbee.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will follow later at Oaklawn Memorial Park, Fishers (Indianapolis), Indiana. 

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
