With loving hearts, we remember the life of Anthony Phillip Lanzerio, of Frisco, Texas, who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 29, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on May 4, 1937, in Buffalo, New York, Anthony lived a long, full life rooted in family and faith, centered on simplicity and a great love for his family.
Anthony proudly served in the United States Army, a time in his life that reflected his quiet strength and sense of duty.
Anthony was married to his beloved wife, Christine. Together, they shared 63 years of marriage: and a life filled with love and companionship.
Anthony will be remembered by his wife, Christine Lanzerio; children, Kenneth Witkowski of Buffalo, New York; Kathleen Morris and husband, Danny, of The Colony, Texas; Karen Drake and husband, Kelly, of Coppell, Texas; Krissy Lanzerio of Lewisville, Texas; Dawn Buckland and husband, Bobby, of Frisco, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, all who brought him happiness over the years. He is also survived by his sister, Tina Hauret, of Florida, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles P. and Carmella May Lanzerio.
Anthony carried quiet strength throughout his life and faced each day with determination and resilience. He enjoyed sharing stories and spending time with those he loved, appreciating life’s simple moments.
He will be remembered for his humor, warm heart and the way he made others feel cared for without needing to say much. In his own gentle way, he often said, “see you when I see you,” a phrase that now brings comfort to those who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for memorial donations to Visting Nurses Association of Texas, VNA Hospice Care Program: www.vnatexas.org.
