Anthony Angelo Caterino, Jr.

Anthony Angelo Caterino, Jr., was born March 5, 1929 in Monessen, Pennsylvania passed away on September 28, 2004, in Dallas, Texas. During his teenage years he worked at the Pittsburgh Steel Mills in Monessen, and after High School joined the Army/Air Force in 1948, during the Korean War, and was assigned to fly on the B-36 Peacemaker. Tony trained as an AP Instrument, Engine & Electrical mechanic, and was discharged in 1951. Tony had been stationed at Carswell in Ft. Worth and moved to the Dallas area after his service was completed. He then worked at Braniff International Airways for approximately 16 years as an Instrument and Electrical Mechanic. In the past several years Tony worked for a Dental Lab in the Lewisville area. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Angelo Caterino, Sr. and Carmella Reno Caterino; and sister, Wanda Caterino. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Helen E. Caterino of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Gina Marie Mann of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Stephanie and Nicholas Mann of Pennsylvania; sisters, Lorraine Canestrale and La Verne Fordanich of Monessen, Pennsylvania; as well as many other special relatives and friends. His family gratefully acknowledges the love and support from all of their family and friends during his illness. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 1, 2004, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Fr. Steven Bierschenk officiating. Interment will follow at DFW National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Thursday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
