Annie Mae Walker

Annie Mae Walker was born September 12, 1929, in the Snow Hill community of Collin County to Mattie Maurine (Burnett) and Houston Hershel Stanley. She passed away June 29, 2007, in McKinney, Texas. On July 13, 1954, she married Roy Lee Walker in Gunter, Texas. Annie Mae was a graduate of Farmersville High School. She was a member of Community North Baptist Church. She served as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell and later as a bookkeeper for the Collin County Clerk’s Office. She is survived by her husband Roy Lee Walker of McKinney, Texas; daughters Linda Rinn and Suzanne Harper, both of McKinney, Texas; sisters Lillie Holloway of Hillsboro, Texas and Shirley Truelove of Lancaster, California; grandchildren Katie Harper, Alex Harper, and Madelyn Harper of McKinney. Annie Mae is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Billy Stanley; sisters Newell Lawson and Tolly Truelove. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in McKinney, Texas with Minister Dr. Bruce Austin and Rev. Keith Francis officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview in McKinney, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Monday, July 2, 2007 to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
