Annie Imogene Corbell

Annie Imogene (Boles) Corbell of Carrollton, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at the age of 93.  She was born in La Rue, Texas, on November 18, 1926, to Annie Lavada (Bristow) and John Henry Boles.  Annie married the love of her life, Weldon Fate Corbell, in Tyler, Texas, on October 6, 1945.  Until his death in 2004, they enjoyed fifty-eight wonderful years of marriage. Annie was a caring nurse with a heart of Gold; a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many.  She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Annie is survived by her four children, Charlotte Fain and husband, Jerry; Rhonda Gayle and husband, Terry; Laurie Calhoun; Bill Corbell and wife, Lauri. Her grandchildren are Meredith Hoots (Dean); Nicole Fain; Jordan Fain (Taylor); Lynlee Romo (Steven); Colin Gayle; and Haley Rodriguez (Edwin). Her great-grandchildren are Ellie Jean Romo “Annie’s namesake”; Jackson Hoots; Liam Rodriguez; and Jaylon Fain. Her sister, Dot Adair (Derl); and her sisters-in-law, Betty Asbill and Jean Boles survive her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Corbell; her sisters, Oma John DeShazo; Opel Howeth; Ola May Mayfield; Jane Meador; Velma Yancy; and Alma Dingler; her brothers, Raymond Boles; Clint Boles; Hayden Boles; and Wayne Boles; and her son-in-law, Mike Calhoun.

The family invites friends and loved ones to a visitation at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2020. 

The funeral will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 7901 Main Street, Frisco, Texas, officiated by Pastor Olin Boles.  A reception will follow.  Additional viewing will be held at 10:00 am prior to the funeral. Interment is at Garretts Bluff Cemetery on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
