Anne Ewing Bell of Plano, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, at the age of 78.
Anne was born on September 5, 1947, in Greenville, South Carolina, to her loving parents, Joe and Harriet Ewing. She grew up in Greenville and graduated from Greenville High School. She went on to pursue higher education at Lander College in Greenwood, South Carolina, and later earned her master’s degree in history and art from Converse College.
On January 31, 1976, Anne married the love of her life, Sam Bell, in Greenville, South Carolina. Their 50-year marriage was one of devotion, companionship, and shared faith.
Anne was a dedicated educator, spending 15 years as a schoolteacher at Hillcrest High School, where she touched the lives of countless students through her passion for history and learning. She was also a faithful member of St. Andrew Methodist Church, where she found strength, community, and spiritual fulfillment.
Anne is survived by her beloved husband, Sam, and was preceded in death by her parents.
Anne will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
A service will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 1:30 pm in the Hasley Chapel at St. Andrew Methodist Church in Plano, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Andrew Methodist Church.
