IN LOVING MEMORY

Annamma Alexander

Jul 30 1933 - Dec 20 2021

Annamma Alexander (Chinnamma), daughter of late K.N. Mathai and late Rachel Mathai, was born on July 30, 1933, in Pennukkara, Kerala. As a member of the Koipatharayil family, Chinnamma was raised alongside her siblings, Rachel Mathews, the late K.M. Oommen, the late Susan Mathews, and the late Saramma Jacob.

Chinnamma was a devoted wife to her late husband, Cherian P. Alexander. Their holy matrimony was solemnized on February 6th, 1958. Their marriage was a true testament to their faith in God and their unconditional love for their family. Chinnamma was a loving mother to her sons, Dr. Cherian Alexander and Mathew Alexander, and her daughters-in-law, Tissy and Elsa Alexander. She was a caring grandmother to her four grandchildren: Tanya, Ryan, Christa, and Renita.

She earned her degree in Pharmacy from Vellore Christian Medical College and served as a Pharmacist in Bahrain for 15 years. After immigrating to the United States in 1975, Chinnamma worked at Coney Island Hospital. She retired in 1998 to take care of her grandchildren.

She lived a Christ centered life. Chinnamma and Cherian were among the first families to help lay the foundation for Epiphany Marthoma Church. Upon moving to Dallas, Texas, she became an active member of Sehion Marthoma Church. She enjoyed singing and was passionately involved in parish prayers, services and programs, and even served as a Vice President of Sevika Sangham at both parishes.

Chinnamma always kept connections with her family and friends across the world and loved to bring people together. She loved to cook and feed her loved ones and spent her free time listening to sermons. Chinnamma prayed over all of us, and her faith was inspiring. She always kept God first and raised her family with strong Christian values.

On December 20, 2021, Annamma Alexander passed away peacefully and was reunited with her husband Cherian P. Alexander and our Heavenly Father.
