Annabel Ying Gill of McKinney, Texas went to be with Jesus on February 29, 2016 at the age of 3. She was born in China on June 2, 2012. One day in April 2014, Jason and Allison Gill were looking at the Facebook page for New Day Foster Home in China. That's when they first saw a picture of a little girl named Annabel. It didn't take long and they knew that this Annabel was to be their daughter. Her adoption story in and of itself was an absolute miracle. Everyone doubted that they could actually be matched with HER. God moved big mountains and in August 2015, Jason ("Baba") traveled to China and Annabel officially became their daughter. Annabel's special need was TEF (Tracheo-Esophageal Fistula) which is an esophagus issue that makes eating difficult. After just a short 6 1/2 months with her forever family, Annabel choked while eating her dinner food. She became unresponsive and was put on life support. After a long weekend, she went home to be with Jesus on February 29th, 2016 at 3:17am. Her Mama held her in her arms with her "Baba" close by as well. They sang Annabel's favorite hymn, "Blessed Assurance" in her last moments.
Annabel is survived by her loving adopted parents, Jason and Allison Gill of McKinney; and numerous other loving family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday morning, March 5, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
