If there was ever any one person who lived life to the fullest it was Anna Rae Phillips. Anna Rae was born in Alexandria, Tennessee on August 27, 1916 and on Christmas Day in McKinney, Texas, December 25, 2016, God called her home.
Anna Rae was survived by daughter Paula Cook, and granddaughter Kellie Cook; son Larry Phillips and wife Linda Phillips, grandsons Koby Phillips and Kasey and wife Araceli Phillips; son Bud Phillips and granddaughter Jill and husband Paul Rodarmer; and sister, Dale Hogan. Anna Rae was blessed with eight great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Anna Rae was preceded in death by husband, A. W. Phillips, Jr.; mother, Minnie Foutch Malone and father, Lofton Malone; brother, Orville Malone; son, Thomas Malone; son- in-law, Earl Dwayne Cook; daughter-in-law, Pat Phillips; grandson, Steven Phillips and Eugene Knies, soon to be grandson.
Anna Rae Phillips was the oldest member of the Cottage Hill Methodist Church. Most everyone knew Anna Rae Phillips by "Mamaw". Her life was dedicated to her children. Her love was irreplaceable. Mamaw loved to watch Dancing with the Stars and the Bachelor/Bachelorette of which she never missed a season. The most endearing personality she couldn't get enough of was Princess Diana.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
