Mrs. Ann Lisa Lehtonen, age 89, of McKinney, Texas passed away January 27, 2011, in Allen, Texas. She was born on June 6, 1921, in Ostersund, Sweden to Nils and Ellen (Jonsson) Jacobson. On September 28, 1946, she married Lars Lehtonen in Brooklyn, New York. After raising their family in the New York area, they retired to Deltona, Florida. Mrs. Lehtonen was of the Lutheran faith. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and James Love and Diane and Roland Elias all of McKinney, Texas; granddaughters, Melissa Grooters of Augusta, Georgia, Kristen Elias of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; grandson, Eric Elias of Clinton, New Jersey; and great grandsons, Andrew William and Bradley Grooters all of Augusta. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nils and Ellen Jacobson; husband, Lars Lehtonen; and sister, Viola Reuna. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2011, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Directors.
