Andrew Martin Hofmann

Andrew (Andy) Martin Hofmann of Savannah, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He was 84. He was born on September 10, 1937 to Andreas and Marie Hofmann in Munich, Germany. When in his teen years Andy immigrated to America with his family. While in America he was proud to serve in the United States Army and to be a citizen in this great country. After his service Andy was Vice President of Food and Beverage services for Braniff Airlines.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Ann who he married on September 5, 1987; sons, Andrew Jr., Michael, Ron (Babette) Harris; daughters Jennifer (Ryan) Kroon, Laura Harris, Beverly (Brad) Witt, and Beth (Mark) Pacheco; daughter-in-law Cathy (Mike Harvey); 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Gloria Nole. Andy had many special people in his life who meant the world to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andreas and Marie Hofmann; his brother, Helmut; and his son, Steven Hofmann.

We would like to thank the hospital staff, hospice, clergy, and all those who helped with Andy’s care over the last few months.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Andrew M. Hofmann on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will be livestreamed on the following link; https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/andrew-martin-hofmann. The recorded version will be available for viewing at the same link.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Andy’s name to Troop 366 Denton, Texas. Andy loved the example of service and patriotism of his son-in-law, Scoutmaster of Troop 366 and grandson who is an Eagle Scout.
