Oh My! What to say? I(we) were so broken hearted when we heard about the homegoing of our friend our classmate. We the Clark family (Tony Andrea Corey Allison and the girls) have your family in our thoughts and prayers. We loved him too. Our girls got to know him cause he bombed us every Mardi Gras for Opheus and Chronus for years. The girls felt so special. They are 19, 18 and 13 now and still looked for him as did us. I just wanted to express our love for the Summers Family. God Bless and Take Care, Andrea Jackson Clark

Paula Russo, May 23, 2018 I'm so sorry to hear of Andy's passing.  He is one of the kindest and best people I had the chance to know; I only wish I had more associations with him.  He always was smiling, and you could tell that he was an incredible father when you talked with his kids.  He will be missed.  May God bless and comfort the family.

The Seymour Family, May 21, 2018 Dear Summers Family, My name is Jennifer Martin and I worked with Andy as the Pre-Op/PACU manager for OSCD.  Andy was so much more than my boss - he was like a big brother to me!  Oh how we went round and around about everything under the sun!  Whatever I dished out he took and vice versa!  He was patient with me, encouraged me and he was my biggest advocate when I needed one with all the workplace drama that went on.  He made us laugh every day and his personality was bigger than life!  The best part of that day was when he made his rounds to check in and say hello to everyone.  He knew every staff member by name and he also knew something special about each one.  Andy was genuine and kind and he was loved by everyone at OSCD.  I will personally miss him at our daily huddles.  They were my favorite part of the day because we got to sit in his office and talk shop but not without Andy-isms and antidotes thrown in for good measure!  He always had a funny story or a silly joke and he was hard to keep focused most days...and that’s what made our huddle time the best part of my day!  We always left his office with smiles and confidence about the future of OSCD.  Andy was our biggest cheerleader.  He is irreplaceable and unforgettable.  No one will ever take his place in our hearts.  He will be missed by so many.  I am so grateful to have know him.  Thank you for sharing Andy with us :) Jennifer

A kind, loving soul that will forever be remembered and missed . The world is darker place without his smile. Prayers and thoughts to his family whom he loved so much ... May God grant you peace . Sandy Sheffler, May 19, 2018 It was very tough to learn of Andy's passing the other day, thinking about all the joy he brought to so many people over the decades, his humor & wit, and his ability to lift people's spirits. With his spirit now with the Lord, there is some comfort in knowing that he is at peace and yet at the same time his absence in our world leaves a huge void for all of us that knew him. I was fortunate to know him thanks to us being on the same Varsity Quiz Bowl team at Thibodaux High School back in 1986-87, I will always remember him as being someone who could combine vast knowledge with an everyday common man approach to life and through that he more than lived a very good & full life. "Give thanks and remember" to a great man who will be missed now and forever, thank you my good man, safe travels to your new home in Heaven. William Taylor, May 19, 2018 Mary, Drew and Anna: we're covering you in love and prayer that God guides you mercifully through your grief. We love you and cannot fathom your loss. Where does anyone begin at describing how much Andy will be missed? He was the gold standard for many measures. Friendship with Andy meant that years apart vanished just minutes into a conversation, often just with the first hug. Andy made sure everyone felt important. I only hope he knew how important he always was to us and how highly regarded he'd always been among friends. We grieve Andy's loss, but we grieve with hope knowing that we'll see him again one day. Andy believed in God's promises and so do we. Christy and Troy Lindsey, May 19, 2018 Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of great sadness. Aunt Beetsie and Family, May 19, 2018 Our condolences to you and your family on the passing of Andrew. The photo you selected reflects a very warm smile and am sure this is how he will be remembered.
