Andrew Jaret Foy, age 39, passed away October 22, 2024 in Carrollton, Texas. He was born on December 12, 1984, in Dallas, Texas.
Andrew’s life was rich and fulfilling. Growing up in North Texas and achieving the rank of Eagle Scout showed his dedication and leadership skills. Andrew graduated from Plano East Senior High in 2003. He continued his hard work and commitment to excellence, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Collin College, then a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas at Dallas. After graduation, he worked as a Senior Project Engineer at Doosan HF Controls.
Andrew made a positive impact on those around him, and excelled at the task at hand, whatever it may be. He had a deep appreciation for the world around him - from art, to nature, to music of all genres. Andrew was a true friend to all, with such heartwarming generosity and a unique ability to connect with others through humor.
Andrew is survived by his mother, Roxanne Garrett (Randy); father, Lawrence W. Foy; sisters, Merritt Rehn-DeBraal (Nick), Lauren Garrett, and Ashley Garrett; niece, Mila Rehn-DeBraal; uncles, Stan DeBraal (Luanne), Jack DeBraal (Maribeth), and Tim DeBraal (Liz); and his faithful cat companion, Aspen, and a host of family members and friends, who will miss him dearly and forever cherish his memory.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The service will also be live streamed at the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/andrew-jaret-foy.
The family will receive guests during a visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the funeral home.
